About the Role

PAGNY is seeking a Psychiatrist to lead a new Outpatient Clozapine Clinic at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. This role involves overseeing all aspects of patient care, including safety and quality, and managing patient assessments, treatment plans, and performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the clinical lead of a new Clozapine clinic.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of patient care on the team, including safety and quality.
  • Complete admission assessments with a focus on comprehensive risk assessment for all new intakes.
  • Re-assess patients in a timely fashion consistent with policy.
  • Complete treatment plan documentation consistent with policy and appropriate to patients' risk level.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Clinical pertinence activities.
  • Participate in utilization review and management.
  • Maintain focus on patient experience, access to care, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active New York State Medical License.

Salary/Compensations

  • $267,900.00 - $278,200.00 Salary/year
  • Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
