About the Role
Curtis Lumber's Architectural Representatives partner directly with Architects, positioning Curtis Lumber as a valuable resource to grow sales and the customer base.
Responsibilities
- Drive and expand Architect partnerships through maintenance and growth of existing accounts, aggressively prospecting to open/develop new partnerships
- Visit Architecture Offices to make regular sales calls
- Develop and Update our Architect Data Base
- Work closely with our Sales Departments and with our Commercial Team
- Develop appropriate leads that are in the Conceptual or Design Stage
- Contact Architects involved in open projects
- Offer assistance to our product experts
- Develop business relationships with Architects through various events/social activities
- Develop and schedule Lunch & Learn meetings at Architect Offices with our Vendor partners
- Facilitate and organize monthly meetings for local Round Table events
- Understand the marketplace
- Know product features
- Work to meet prospect customers’ needs
- Effective closing techniques
- Share expertise with others
- Meet and or exceed individual sales goals
- Meet and or exceed individual margin goals
- Acknowledge, greet, and assist customers in a timely and professional manner
- Handle telephone and electronic inquiries efficiently and effectively
- Identify the needs and provide the appropriate level of assistance to the customer
- Effectively research and resolve customer complaints and conflicts
- Other duties may be assigned
