About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter. Conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized persons or unusual activity.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
Requirements
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
