As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Allied Universal Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
- Communicate professionally with residents and site personnel while reporting maintenance, access control, and security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
