About the Role

We are searching for an engineer with 5+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer. The position will be responsible for the assessment of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing structural and building failure analysis, evaluations on damaged structures, and/or conducting facilities/building condition assessments.

Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate the condition and potential cause of distress to a wide range of structural buildings and facilities.
Perform field investigations of site conditions and subsequent analyses of structural components.
Produce written reports detailing findings of investigations, including conceptual repair recommendations.
Work with an inter-disciplinary team of engineers and construction consultants as part of investigations.
Receive mentoring from senior engineering staff and provide mentorship to junior staff members.
Develop and maintain client relationships through projects and team-related activities within the region.

Requirements

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of New York.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis, evaluation, and design of structures (buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, etc.) or building envelope systems.
Must be physically able to perform investigations in the field (including climbing ladders, carrying inspection tools, stooping, kneeling, etc.).

Skills

Experience in Microsoft Office suite, structural analysis software, and CADD software.
