About the Role

Identify and evaluate AI potentials along the energy industry value chain and translate them into viable business cases. Design AI architectures and solutions with GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning from the initial idea to a production-ready MVP. Advise energy providers on AI strategies, data-driven business models, and AI scaling, including Target Operating Model and AI readiness. Lead (sub-)projects, manage interdisciplinary teams, and stakeholders up to C-level. Integrate requirements from the EU AI Act, data protection, and ethical AI from the start. Develop the adesso offering in AI x Utilities, support acquisition and thought leadership, and actively shape market position.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate AI potentials along the energy industry value chain and translate them into viable business cases.
Design AI architectures and solutions with GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning from the initial idea to a production-ready MVP.
Advise energy providers on AI strategies, data-driven business models, and AI scaling, including Target Operating Model and AI readiness.
Lead (sub-)projects, manage interdisciplinary teams, and stakeholders up to C-level.
Integrate requirements from the EU AI Act, data protection, and ethical AI from the start.
Develop the adesso offering in AI x Utilities, support acquisition and thought leadership, and actively shape market position.

Requirements

At least five years of experience in IT or management consulting, with at least two years in AI or data projects.
Knowledge of business processes and value chain structures of energy providers, network operators, or municipal utilities.
Familiarity with modern AI architectures including LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and classic Machine Learning.
Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, and frameworks like Azure OpenAI and LangChain.
Experience with Requirements Engineering, Use Case and Business Case methodology, Design Thinking, and agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.
Deep AI expertise and active involvement in shaping responsible AI deployment.
Act as an enabler for clients and internally at adesso.
Very good German and good English language skills.
