About the Role
This role is responsible for leading the development of business-aligned strategies that transform enterprise capabilities and guiding the evolution of the enterprise to leverage those capabilities. The position provides direction and governance over the development, evolution, and delivery of enterprise outcomes across IT, specifically supporting the Electric Transmission business area.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of business-aligned strategies that transform enterprise capabilities.
- Guide the evolution of the enterprise to leverage transformed capabilities.
- Provide direction and governance processes over the development, evolution, and delivery of enterprise outcomes spanning all areas of IT.
- Work across application and technology silos to provide 'big picture' leadership and direction to supporting teams.
- Develop, communicate, and maintain the strategic roadmap of a complex ecosystem.
- Coordinate across all silos of individual application and technology roadmaps.
- Identify assessment and testing approaches for business solutions to ensure resiliency.
- Lead analysis and design of technical solutions for comprehensive resiliency, disaster recovery, and ecosystem performance.
- Lead multiple support teams, vendor partners, and business partners during critical incidents, scheduled changes, or testing initiatives.
- Identify and escalate issues impacting desired enterprise outcomes.
- Maintain relationships with current vendors regarding future direction.
- Maintain close relationships with all domain and business areas to ensure synergy.
- Develop and lead projects and achieve goals.
- Work across silos, keeping the 'big picture' in focus while making decisions that optimize enterprise outcomes.
- Maintain an Enterprise perspective even when making tactical decisions and trade-offs.
- Responsible for Enterprise Architecture (EA) deliverables including reference architectures, application guidelines, and metrics.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the EA toolset and enterprise governance processes.
- Stay updated and explore the latest relevant technologies to design and implement infrastructure for innovative IT solutions.
- Ensure IT solutions fit with current and planned enterprise architecture and standards.
- Educate and communicate EA practices with other team members and Architect teams.
- Deliver technical solutions with both client-side and server-side functionality.
- Define new features with internal and external customers.
- Work with vendors as required to deliver technical solutions.
- Communicate technical solutions to executive-level roles in terms of business outcomes and meeting IT objectives.
- Ensure solution infrastructure is supportable and can be transitioned smoothly into production support organizations.
- Provide cross-domain technical consultation services throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with complex troubleshooting and coordinate domain experts to solve cross-domain issues.
- Create solution architecture documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand the Electric Transmission business area.
- Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs, which may include an Emergency Restoration assignment outside of normal responsibilities, work hours, and location.
Requirements
- Requires strong IT technology knowledge.
- Must have extensive experience with infrastructure and technology (cloud and on premise).
- Must have extensive experience with business application technical design and implementation.
- Must have extensive experience with Enterprise Architecture goals and objectives.
- Requires extensive knowledge of systems development methodologies.
- Requires extensive knowledge of systems integration methodologies.
- Proven experience architecting Disaster recovery solutions and resiliency hosting platforms for business solutions.
- Experience with architecture frameworks.
- Experience with processes such as TOGAF.
- Experience with ITIL processes such as Release, Change, Capacity, and Availability.
- Application Portfolio Management is a plus.
- Technology Portfolio Management is a plus.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills.
- Requires strong communications skills.
- Requires strong presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Electric and Gas utility industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Electric Transmission business is a plus.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

- Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed.

Salary/Compensations
- $156,250.00-$173,610.00
