About the Role

CNA has a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant II to join our team in New York City. This position provides executive-level administrative and operational support to senior leaders, managing complex calendars, travel, and expenses, coordinating meetings and events, preparing presentations and reports, and supporting onboarding and office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive administrative, operational, and business support to senior leaders.
  • Manage complex calendars, meeting logistics, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
  • Draft, prepare, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
  • Support business unit administration activities, including communications, team meetings, and onboarding.
  • Maintain business information, records, databases, and SharePoint sites.
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize data to prepare reports and business insights.
  • Coordinate broker, agency, and business partner activities.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for leaders, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Conduct research, compile information, and prepare recommendations.
  • Support special projects and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, team activities, and travel logistics.
  • Assist with operational processes, including invoices, accounts payable, payroll/timekeeping, and facilities coordination.
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Collaborate effectively across a matrix organization and provide backup support to other administrative professionals.

Requirements

  • Typically, 4+ years of administrative experience, preferably supporting senior leaders or teams in a corporate, professional services, or insurance environment.
  • Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting business operations, executive administration, reporting, and project coordination preferred.
  • College degree or coursework in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate business needs, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience using AI productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • General knowledge of the insurance industry, financial services and business operations preferred.
  • Ability to effectively navigate a complex matrix organization.

Salary/Compensations

  • The target compensation for this position in New York City is $87,000 + - based on experience.
  • In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $35,000 to $65,000 annually.
