About the Role

RSM US LLP is seeking a Manager within its Cyber practice to support the delivery and growth of cybersecurity compliance services for the financial services industry. This role involves overseeing client engagements, developing team members, and ensuring the expansion of advisory services within the broader Cyber Agenda. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial services-specific cybersecurity risks and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of financial services cybercompliance engagements and connect this work to broader cybersecurity advisory opportunities.
  • Train, coach, and provide oversight to team members during the delivery of cybercompliance and cybersecurity services.
  • Identify opportunities for pull-through advisory services within financial services engagements.
  • Support the development of financial services cybersecurity integrated solutions.
  • Understand AI and cloud security with a focus on financial services-specific risks, emerging threats, and regulatory expectations.
  • Communicate strategic and tactical risks of account data protection and regulatory compliance to clients.
  • Support clients in designing and supporting payment card industry and cyber compliance programs.
  • Assess, develop, and implement information governance frameworks for organizations.
  • Communicate complex technical issues to client senior management through executive-style reports and presentations.
  • Support account growth by delivering high-quality client service and ensuring offerings remain responsive to evolving risks and regulations.

Requirements

  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance are preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, QSA).
  • Direct experience with cybersecurity program components and workflows, including regulatory monitoring, business requirements definition, data inventory, risk management, third-party vendor management, incident management, and breach notifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in cyber compliance, cybersecurity risk, or consulting within financial services.
  • Experience overseeing engagement delivery, developing team members, and supporting the expansion of advisory services.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international destinations.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as network and IT infrastructure, application and database design, IT governance, third-party management, incident response, and network/IT security components.
  • Working knowledge of key cybersecurity compliance standards, regulations, and frameworks (PCI DSS, NIST CSF, GLBA Safeguards Rule, NYDFS 23 NYCRR Part 500, FFIEC).
  • Proven people leadership skills with demonstrated success in leading teams, overseeing engagement delivery, and coaching professionals.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
