About the Role
Horizon is seeking an Assistant Operations Support Manager to join their team in the Mental Health and Addictions field. This role offers a supportive, team-based work environment with a seamless onboarding experience to ensure success.
Responsibilities
- Create weekly schedule for Treatment Assistants within budgeted total hour parameters one month in advance covering a 24/7 schedule.
- Obtain coverage for shift needs due to call offs.
- Approve and cross-reference schedule to time cards and approves bi-weekly payroll of 30+ Treatment Assistants.
- Assist Operations Support Manager in doing phone screens, conducting interviews and hiring of employee candidates.
- Process new hire paperwork and works with the Employee Services Department with hiring procedures.
- Deliver training curriculum to Treatment Assistants on policies, procedures and processes required to be successful working with addiction clients.
- Select and/or deliver the appropriate method of instruction for training using adult learning styles.
- Provide follow-up assistance and triage training supporting staff during the onboarding process of 6-12 months.
- Measure, evaluate and track employee’s progress in performing all job responsibilities.
- Provide feedback to manager on the performance of individual employee progress in training.
- Identify training opportunities and suggests methods for improving employee and/or team performance.
- Provide input to managers on training policies and programs and determines training needs.
- Maintain all supplemental training materials and manual to ensure accuracy and the most current information.
- Assist with the creation, implementation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative training needs assessments and training effectiveness evaluations.
- Work on special projects as needed, when requested by the Operations Support Manager.
- Cover Treatment Assistant or Administrative Assistant shifts as needed if coverage cannot be found.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- High School Diploma with 2 to 5 years’ experience scheduling, training, or working in an addiction or residential facilities required.
- A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license, and three years of driving experience as a licensed driver required.
- Broad knowledge of training program design and delivery methods.
- Must be flexible to meet changing training needs.
