About the Role
As a Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, while supporting fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. You may also work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Responsibilities
- Restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device.
- Communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities.
- Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
- Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Provide additional support and extended hours during peak holiday seasons (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
- Potentially work on the actual holiday and weekends during peak seasons.
- Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
- Support other team members in their territories as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
- Must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday.
- May be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Employment by Hallmark is contingent upon the signing of the Employment Agreement, signing of an agreement to arbitrate in connection with the Hallmark Dispute Resolution Program, completing Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, and successfully passing a pre-employment (post offer) background check.
