About the Role

Responsibilities
- Utility employees support all departments within the mill including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and production, as needed.
- Safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, operate power hand tools, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
- Read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurement) and utilize basic math and computer skills.
- Perform inspections on various equipment for proper operation and report questionable conditions.
- Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris.
- Prioritize work and take appropriate action to ensure paper machine remains operational.
- Roll finishing (banding, labeling, sorting).
- Load trucks with finished product.
- Unload bales from wastepaper truck.
- Work in varying temperatures as part of a cohesive team that keeps production running safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- All candidates are required to take and pass a Drug Test & Physical.
- All candidates will be required to join the United Steelworkers (USW) upon completion of the 90-day probationary period.
- All Ox employees are expected to conduct business in accordance with the highest ethical, moral, and legal standards in the best interests of Ox, its employees, and owners.

Skills
- Forklift, clamp truck, and skid steer experience is desired, but not required.

About the Company
- Ox Specialty Paper, LLC is seeking qualified candidates to fill the Production Utility (Laborer) Positions in the production department.
- The mill operates on a 4 crew, Southern Swing Rotation so you will work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift each month.
