About the Role

Lead a critical function at the centre of EDF UK's external engagement agenda, shaping the organisation's reputation, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring EDF's voice is heard on important energy and policy discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead EDF UK's corporate affairs and stakeholder engagement strategy to protect and enhance the organisation's reputation
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with government departments, policymakers, regulators, industry bodies and key external stakeholders
  • Provide strategic counsel to executive leaders on stakeholder, political, regulatory and reputational matters
  • Identify emerging external developments, assess their impact and recommend effective responses
  • Lead a high-performing team while partnering with Strategy, Policy and Communications colleagues to deliver integrated engagement activity

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading external affairs, stakeholder engagement and reputation strategies in complex environments
  • Sound judgement, strategic thinking and the credibility to influence at the most senior levels
  • Significant experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, stakeholder engagement or strategic communications within a regulated industry
  • Proven experience developing and delivering corporate affairs or stakeholder engagement strategies that achieve measurable outcomes
  • Strong experience advising executive and senior leadership teams on complex external affairs, stakeholder and reputational matters
  • Demonstrable experience managing political, regulatory and stakeholder relationships at senior levels, alongside complex reputational issues
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams while delivering strategic engagement programmes across large organisations
