About the Role

Perform a variety of duties to provide existing and potential customers with efficient and accurate services, including opening accounts, explaining and processing investments, and correcting records.

Responsibilities

• Interview customers to obtain information and explain available financial services.
• Type account information and enter it into the computer.
• Assist customers with questions and investigate and correct errors.
• Present funds received from customers to the Teller for deposit and obtain receipts.
• Obtain records from fraud reporting agencies.
• Contact customers regarding overdraft items and other transactions.
• Develop and maintain communication in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff, members, and outside contacts.
• Handle all phases of teller operations, including collections, savings, demand deposits, and loan payments.
• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
• Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enter customer transactions into the computer to record them and issue computer-generated receipts.
• Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
• Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depositories.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
