About the Role

As the Director of Engineering, Agentic Product, you will lead the technical execution of Adobe's Agentic Product, an AI-native experience bringing generative models and creative intelligence together for creators. You'll partner with Product leadership to define, build, and ship agentic experiences that change how creators work, and be responsible for the end-to-end product quality of the agent. This is an opportunity to build a new, AI-native engineering team and practices that will define Adobe's most visible AI product.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering execution of Adobe's Agentic Product, collaborating to define its functions, driving output quality, and ensuring predictable cadence across surfaces.
  • Grow and lead the engineering team building Agentic Product capabilities, driving technical strategy, team health, and execution velocity.
  • Partner closely with Agentic Product Management to define technical scope, sequence delivery, and translate product strategy into executable engineering plans.
  • Lead the design and delivery of agent capabilities spanning in-app creative workflows, multi-step task execution, and context-aware assistance across Adobe's surfaces.
  • Establish and maintain the quality bar for agent behavior, including measurement and systematic improvement.
  • Partner across Adobe's platform and infrastructure teams to ensure the Agentic Product is built with appropriate evaluations, guardrails, data protection, and reliability.
  • Build and maintain fluency across the emerging agentic standards and model capabilities ecosystem, ensuring engineering practices evolve with the space.

Requirements

  • A track record of leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams to ship complex, high-quality user-facing AI products at scale.
  • Deep experience with AI/ML product engineering, including working knowledge of LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and the capabilities and limitations of current generative models in creative contexts.
  • Hands-on technical expertise: ability to engage deeply in architecture decisions, review designs with a substantive point of view, and recognize good and brittle agent behavior at the implementation level.
  • Strong product sensibility: intuitions about user experience, ability to assess agent behavior, and peer-level partnership with Product and Design.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership instincts with a history of effective partnership with Product, Design, and platform engineering teams.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where technology, competitive dynamics, and user expectations are rapidly evolving.
  • Experience with the quality, reliability, and trust requirements for shipping AI features to a large consumer and enterprise audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management and drive continuous innovation in engineering processes and practices.
  • Experience working with LLM providers or contributing to AI product strategy is strongly preferred.
