About the Role
The Pro Design team at Adobe is transforming the design industry with tools like Illustrator and InDesign, integrating creativity, collaboration, and AI. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build a robust and scalable data foundation for Adobe's future products.
Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and optimize data architecture and ETL/pipelines on Databricks for Pro Design products, covering shared platform data and in-app usage telemetry.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to define and implement data logging and instrumentation for product experimentation, AI/ML features, and analytics.
- Establish and evolve governance standards for data quality, privacy, security, lineage, and SLAs within Unity Catalog.
- Develop automated reporting and data foundations to power AI-driven insights across the reporting stack.
- Maintain the health and performance of production pipelines and queries at scale, driving optimizations for cost and latency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, Airflow, and Databricks workflows.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including production pipelines at scale.
- Experience with high-volume event/telemetry data from client applications.
- Experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows for efficiency, quality, or latency.
- Experience building multi-agent AI systems or agentic workflows.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML data pipelines (feature stores, embeddings, or retrieval) and modern BI/reporting tools.
- Proven ability to partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to transform ambiguous questions into reliable data models.
