About the Role

Operates seated and standing forklift to transfer product from warehouse floor to load trucks. Responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the warehouse facility. Provides a high level of member service.

Responsibilities

• Moves merchandise by hand or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise.
• Opens and closes bay doors and pulls pins for the dock plate.
• Unloads and stocks incoming merchandise.
• Picks outgoing merchandise.
• Loads outbound trailers when needed.
• Checks, verifies, and audits merchandise and enters data into remote data terminals.
• Operates a forklift to move and put away merchandise.
• Replenishes pick areas identified by replenishment reports and various requests for needed merchandise.
• Obtains customer orders and fills merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise.
• Reports damages and vendor compliance issues.
• Resolves problems or discrepancies with help from the immediate manager.
• Meets department demands without sacrificing quality.
• Uses forklift to obtain product, stages product and moves door using small hand tools.
• Cleans area by picking up packaging and cardboard material.
• Operates cardboard baler.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Requirements

• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
• Open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
