About the Role

Expleo is seeking a Head of Function for Electrical/Electronics and Hardware to manage delivery teams and oversee daily operations. This role is crucial for streamlining processes, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery, while also focusing on employee growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery teams and focus on the company's day-to-day activities.
  • Manage the delivery aspects of projects and ensure resources are utilized effectively.
  • Streamline processes and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee daily operations for the delivery unit.
  • Manage invoicing rates.
  • Oversee the budget for operations, including reporting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Work closely with Resource Managers to allocate resources and supervise the recruitment plan.
  • Work closely with Practice Managers to deploy Strategic Workforce Planning and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in the development of their scope.
  • Participate actively in the construction of complex offers.
  • Cascade objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team below and monitor progress.
  • Provide effective feedback to the team below and guide team members to enhance their performance level.
  • Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
  • Provide information to senior stakeholders within and outside the organisation to support decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • CEng Status or capability to achieve in the next 12 months.
  • In-depth knowledge in either Electrical or Electronic Design with supporting knowledge of the alternate area.
  • Experience producing design drawings.
  • Experience presenting up to board level.
  • Understanding of Project Management (Critical path control, Risk understanding).
  • Experience working as an engineer on Electrical/Electronics/Hardware design.
  • Full knowledge of 'V' lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Resource and Integrated Business Planning experience.
  • Bid Management experience.
  • SC clearance already in place.
  • Marine / Air defence projects desirable.
