About the Role

The Lead, Global Trade Compliance, Licensing will review and submit trade-related license applications for L3Harris import and export requirements to U.S. Department of State ITAR and U.S. Department of Commerce EAR. This role advises on ITAR Exemptions and EAR Exceptions, manages record-keeping, and develops internal trade policies and training. The position supports the Global Trade Licensing Team and collaborates across business units to ensure adherence to the L3Harris Global Trade Compliance Program.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and approve Corporate Headquarters (CHQ) employee international travel requests, including trade compliance evaluation.
• Review, analyze, and approve CHQ foreign national visitors, including restricted party screening and trade compliance analysis.
• Provide oversight for authorization management, including quality control review and process notifications to DDTC.
• Manage and consolidate USG regulatory reporting for the enterprise.
• Timely review and submittal of international license applications to meet U.S. Government regulatory requirements and L3Harris policy.
• Provide guidance to designated L3Harris companies on Trade Compliance requirements per ITAR and EAR.
• Serve as primary point of contact with U.S. Government regulators for license applications.
• Develop and implement guidance, procedures, processes, and templates for international license requirements.
• Develop and actively participate in Trade-related training events.
• Act as an Empowered Official in accordance with the ITAR.
• Support enterprise-wide trade requirements, including internal monitoring, compliance investigations, and trade-related outreach.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, OR minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with ITAR Exemptions and EAR Exceptions.
• Ability to travel 30% domestically.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.

Skills

• Experience with OCR EASE
• Experience with drafting and submitting ITAR and EAR license applications
• Prior experience as an Empowered Official or US Government regulator
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail, integrity, and discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
• Demonstrated consistent application of company and industry business practices and concepts
• Attention to detail and follow through on tasks assigned

• Ability to travel as necessary

Work Type

• 9/80 schedule (Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off)
