About the Role

The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto is seeking a full-time, permanent Academic Neurologist specializing in movement disorders. The role involves clinical academic appointment, teaching, research, and providing clinical service within the Division of Neurology, Krembil Brain Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching as per Division of Neurology requirements.
  • Conduct research and clinical focus on movement disorders.
  • Provide clinical service in the Division of Neurology, Krembil Brain Institute for on-call, inpatient, and ambulatory care.

Requirements

  • Eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher.
  • Preference for the position description of Clinician Investigator at the University of Toronto.
  • Hold an MD degree or equivalent.
  • Should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Should have, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • For Clinician Investigator position: specific additional training such as a Master’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • For Clinician Investigator position: scholarly excellence as demonstrated by research grants, publications in leading journals, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments.
