About the Role
The Division of Rheumatology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto seek a Division Head to provide strategic, academic, clinical, and administrative leadership. The role involves fostering excellence in patient care, research, education, quality improvement, innovation, and knowledge translation, while advancing the Division's academic mission and supporting an inclusive and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Providing clinical, academic, and operational leadership.
- Establishing divisional goals and priorities aligned with strategic objectives.
- Leading faculty recruitment, mentorship, and career development.
- Supporting clinical and academic program development.
- Guiding innovation, implementation, and change management initiatives.
Requirements
- Eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at the University of Toronto.
- Hold an MD degree.
- Certified or eligible for certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Accomplished academic leader with demonstrated expertise in administration, strategic planning, program development, and organizational change management.
- Established record of achievement in clinical care, education, research, quality improvement, and/or clinical innovation.
- Strong commitment to faculty development and academic excellence.
- Achieved distinction in their field.
