About the Role
This position is responsible for the timely processing, rating, and release of all client shipments in accordance with Livingston’s operating procedures and service standards, ensuring commitment time is met to achieve client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments across all modes of transportation.
- Create customs entries by reviewing client records and interpreting documentation for all clients' shipments.
- Enter shipment information for release, rating, and billing, ensuring all mandatory fields are completed accurately.
- Verify correct value for duty and tariff treatment by selecting the appropriate keyword/HS code based on invoice details and terms of sale.
- Contact Release Import Analyst or client service team for missing documentation or information required to release a shipment.
- Verify documentation for release conditions, compliance, and rating compliance, including free trade certificates.
- Adhere to all LI,I SOPs, ESPs, and business rules, following special client instructions, notes, and alerts.
- Identify outdated or ineffective ESPs and SOPs and recommend changes.
- Identify ESPs and SOPs to improve efficiencies and enhance client service.
- Research and respond to Call Center requests for information professionally via phone or email in non-Air/Sea locations.
- Prioritize and complete work according to client and customs requirements, as assigned by management, in compliance with Customs requirements and Livingston standards.
- Escalate two-step release requirements, authorization, or issue resolution to the appropriate personnel.
- Update, approve, and release information for billing (Canada only).
- Assist in billing and data entry (ASR) where required.
- Participate fully with other team members in the day-to-day operation of Release Operations.
- Utilize system automation tools to support release processing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
