About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance, will be a key resource on the Strategic Finance FP&A team, focusing on profitability analysis, revenue and margin budgets, and forecasts. This role involves translating complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership, strengthening financial models, and mentoring junior analysts. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial analyst looking to grow into a people leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Lead revenue and margin profitability analysis at the total firm level and across various segments, identifying margin improvement opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and enhance scalable financial models for revenue and expense drivers, scenario planning, and margin analysis.
- Lead the monthly revenue forecast process, including driver-based modeling, risk/opportunity analysis, and variance assessment.
- Lead modeling for the annual budget process, collaborating with stakeholders to gather inputs and develop integrated models.
- Develop capacity models to assess staffing levels, timekeeper productivity, and resource allocation.
- Prepare executive-ready materials synthesizing financial trends into concise narratives and decision points.
- Contribute to finance transformation efforts, including the design and adoption of AI-enabled and automation-based solutions.
- Identify and implement modeling enhancements, process improvements, and automation opportunities.
- Support strategic finance workstreams through in-depth analysis, including lateral investment and market analytics.
- Perform ad hoc financial modeling, analysis, business case development, and executive support as assigned.
Requirements
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including building, improving, auditing, and explaining complex models.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into concise business insights and recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including forecasting, dashboarding, and data visualization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready materials.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor analysts and build trusted relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
