About the Role

Air Canada Digital Platform team is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented analyst to bridge business and technical aspects of solutions. The role requires a customer journey-centric approach, a passion for the travel industry and digital experiences, and comfort in a fast-paced, collaborative, continuous product delivery environment.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business needs of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors or product managers to define product scope and vision.
  • Conduct interviews and use various methods to gather product requirements.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters for requirements analysis.
  • Research and analyze existing requirements-gathering processes for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assist in researching products to meet agreed-upon requirements.
  • Participate in QA of solutions to ensure features and functions are enabled and optimized.
  • Develop and utilize standard templates for user requirements and user stories.
  • Translate conceptual user/product requirements into functional requirements for developers.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for developers.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with solution architects and developers to validate solutions against user requirements.
  • Create API specs and Data Models to meet business requirements.
  • Work with internal development and technology teams to design effective programming and software changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of analyst or product management experience focused on IT Systems.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
  • Experience or familiarity with working in an Agile methodology.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to manage under minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest and responsible for obtaining necessary work authorizations.
  • Prior experience with quality assurance is a plus but not required.
  • Airline or travel industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Coding or design experience is a plus but not required.
  • API spec development and solution design understanding.
  • AWS solution understanding is a plus but not required.
  • Domain experience is a plus point.
