About the Role

Develop the brand WELT.de and Business Insider Deutschland continuously with our SEO team. You will have a lot of creative freedom and the opportunity to actively shape the search strategy of two high-reach news brands.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the further development of the SEO strategy for WELT and Business Insider, and contribute your ideas to planning, implementation, and optimization across teams.
  • Manage demanding SEO topics, such as technical analyses, crawling and indexing issues, or supporting technical projects.
  • Analyze our domains, competitors, and SEO and web data, identify opportunities for increased reach, and derive concrete recommendations for action.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and monitoring, present findings in a target-group-oriented manner, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor developments in SEO, AI, and search engines, and bring new ideas into our work.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in marketing, communication, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in SEO, ideally in the media, publishing, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Sound knowledge of editorial, analytical, or technical SEO and an understanding of how to optimize content specifically for search engines and users.
  • Proficient use of common SEO and analysis tools such as Search Console, Sistrix, Screaming Frog, Audisto, or Adobe Analytics.
  • Data-driven approach, ability to develop analyses and dashboards, and use new technologies and work methods with curiosity and initiative.
  • Very good German language skills; English skills are an advantage.
