About the Role

Power-Flo Technologies is seeking a dedicated Box Truck Driver to join their warehouse team, responsible for picking up and delivering orders within the 5 boroughs and on Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle using an app.
• Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver orders.
• Plan the most efficient daily delivery sequences using manifest and GPS to minimize transit time.
• Navigate urban and suburban routes safely, consistently meeting strict delivery deadlines.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle.
• Secure heavy or fragile cargo using straps, load locks, and bracing to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and productivity for the day.
• Verify manifest accuracy by counting quantity of cartons, skids, coil, etc., and inspecting the condition of material prior to loading and upon delivery.
• Complete delivery and pickup paperwork promptly and accurately, gathering appropriate signatures and acknowledgements.
• Obey all traffic laws and parking regulations.
• Provide professional, prompt, and friendly customer service, acting as the face of the company at various drop-off points.
• Perform basic warehouse work, including removing sold parts from stock, placing received parts on shelves, processing items for shipment, and receiving and organizing.

Requirements

• Previous box truck experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull over 100 pounds.
• Comfortable using a smartphone and computer.
• Ability to follow processes, procedures, and policies.
• Ability to work well independently, maintain a can-do attitude, and be willing to learn.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with functional English skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Nassau, Suffolk, and the five boroughs of NYC.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US.
• Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas.
