About the Role
TYLin is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality Rail + Transit design projects and programs. This role offers the opportunity to partner with respected transit agencies in the U.S., strengthen leadership skills, and mentor engineers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver major Rail + Transit projects for agencies such as MTA, Amtrak, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, LIRR, Metro-North, and others.
- Collaborate on national pursuits with agencies like WMATA, SEPTA, and CTA.
- Lead a talented team of engineers and designers.
- Build strong client relationships.
- Deliver projects that improve regional and national mobility.
- Lead and deliver complex Rail + Transit design projects, from early planning through final design.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring quality and exceptional service.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering growth and career development.
- Collaborate with senior leaders nationwide to pursue new opportunities and strengthen our Rail + Transit practice.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and professional associations in New York and beyond.
- Play a key role in project pursuits, including proposal development, strategy, and presentations.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY strongly preferred.
- Proven success delivering Rail + Transit engineering design projects, programs, or on-call assignments for major agencies.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with deep expertise in Rail + Transit projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and motivating teams.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to balance technical delivery, business development, and team growth responsibilities.
