About the Role

Applied Materials is seeking a Recruiter in Tokyo, Japan, to manage Talent Acquisition objectives by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recruiting qualified candidates. This role involves developing recruiting plans aligned with business objectives, executing recruitment activities, representing the company at career events, and maintaining community relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to manage end-to-end recruitment activities with moderate guidance.
  • Create recruiting and interviewing plans for open positions.
  • Leverage relationships with external vendors, websites, and niche posting sites.
  • Conduct follow-ups with hiring managers/HRBP to assess recruiting plan effectiveness.
  • Build relationships with internal customers, external agencies, universities, institutes, and associations.
  • Research and recommend new sourcing channels for active and passive candidates.
  • Build networks to efficiently fill open positions.
  • Utilize sourcing channels including the internet, referrals, and recruitment vendors.
  • Post openings on job boards and internal pipelines.
  • Provide salary proposals, negotiate with candidates, and finalize the offer process in Workday.
  • Guide and implement company activities to promote employment.
  • Use Workday and CRM systems for sourcing, reporting, metrics, and process streamlining.
  • Cultivate a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Identify opportunities to solve customer hiring issues and improve recruitment operations.
  • Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and hiring teams.
  • Adapt quickly to new changes and understand the business context.
  • Navigate and identify opportunities to upgrade TA tools/systems and technology.
  • Use data to collaborate and communicate.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to meet recruiting needs.
  • Establish processes, team goals, and individual job goals with accountability.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in in-house talent acquisition as a recruiter.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Japanese.
  • Passionate about the Talent Acquisition function.
  • Can be located in the Applied Materials Tokyo Japan office.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Relocation eligible.
