About the Role
Assist the Commercial & General Manager with commercial control and reporting for housing properties, ensuring high standards in commercial activities, customer service, safety, quality, and cost control.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of work order pricing through review and quality checking.
- Liaise with sub-contractors to resolve queries and disputes.
- Monitor contract overheads and cost control, including vehicles, equipment, tools, stock, and petty cash.
- Provide coding advice to the Planning Team for correct job raising or variation.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a commercially competent service.
- Ensure customer experience is central to all activities through professional communication and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Provide assistance with other commercial tasks as they arise.
- Attend company, client meetings, and training sessions as required.
Requirements
- Experience in a commercial environment.
- Experience within the Social Housing Sector.
- Experience of working to deadlines in a busy office environment.
- IT Literate.
- Good time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with computerised systems.
- Good written, verbal, questioning, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer experience ethos.
- Must have the entitlement to work within the UK.
- To drive a Mears vehicle, must be aged over 21, have held a license over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
- All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks.
