About the Role
The Fleet Auction Inspector reports to the Director of Auction and manages fieldwork for the public auction of used fleet vehicles and equipment. This role involves vehicle inspection, site coordination, logistics management, and supporting emergency management efforts related to vehicle damage.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and conference calls and prepare relevant reports
- Conduct vendor and agency site visits and vehicle inspections
- Perform minor vehicle troubleshooting and agency decal removal
- Coordinate logistics and documentation for agencies, vendors, and buyers
- Make vehicle salvage recommendations
- Estimate minimum bids using online resources and historical data
- Manage operations including vehicle tow-away coordination
- Maintain documentation and sales materials
- Assist with general fleet and agency initiatives
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related activities
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or related activities
- Equivalent combination of education and experience with at least one year of relevant community work experience
