About the Role

The Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) is seeking a Public Health Assistant to support the OSH Nursing Unit's data entry, cleaning, and record maintenance. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations and accurate data to inform nursing activities and vendor payments.

Responsibilities

• Support data entry and cleaning for the OSH Nursing Unit’s systems to track employee information.
• Support review, approval, and confirmation of vendor agency timesheets for accurate payment.
• Maintain records and files.
• Communicate with central and borough-based nursing staff and vendor agencies to track nurse assignments.
• Create simple reports and data analysis for internal and external use.
• Participate in agency-wide activities for Emergency Preparedness.

Requirements

• Permanent employees in the title and those reachable on the Public Health Assistant (School Health) Civil Service list are eligible to apply.
• A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent.
• Completion of eleventh grade of high school, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience performing health-related or clerical duties.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to the above, with completion of eleventh grade of high school required.
