About the Role
The New York Police Department is seeking a high-level executive to serve as Chief Analytics Officer (CAO), responsible for leading the Department’s data science, business intelligence, and analytics strategy. The CAO will focus on turning complex data into actionable operational insights and setting strategic analytical priorities.
Responsibilities
- Build and guide the enterprise vision for data science, predictive modeling, and business intelligence.
- Build processes and data visualization that can be interpreted without a technical background.
- Translate data into measurable goals and objectives that support the Department’s mission.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of data scientists and analysts.
- Design functional data platforms and reporting tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years managing analytics, data science, or statistical operations in a leadership capacity in City government and/or law enforcement.
