About the Role
Gexpro Services is seeking a Project Manager - Sales to manage customer accounts, process sales orders, and provide tactical sales support. This role involves order entry, inquiry, product information, sourcing, status updates, pricing, inventory management, and customer fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer account management, including order entry, inquiry, product information, sourcing, order status, pricing, inventory inquiries, customer fulfillment, and transportation management.
- Manage tactical customer inquiries such as processing purchase orders, quoting product prices with delivery specifications, communicating payment terms, promise dates, and shipping confirmation.
- Process product quotations by gathering data, sourcing suppliers, and researching to quote customers, with follow-up throughout the purchasing cycle.
- Resolve customer inquiries concerning shipment problems, order changes, and invoice variations using root-cause analysis.
- Prepare proposals and quotes for customers from established pricing; initiate RFQ for pricing when not available.
- Manage the Open Order Report by partnering with cross-functional team members, including following up with Buyers on PO status and Suppliers on urgent past due inquiries.
- Review order status to ensure urgent orders are placed with suppliers and update customers with revised ship/deliver dates.
- Ensure prompt payment on invoicing for assigned customer base by reviewing claims that prevent payment in collaboration with the CFS Team.
- Manage the expedite order process for urgent customer orders to maximize fill rates and customer satisfaction.
- Provide additional tactical sales support to the Program Manager as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of Inside Sales Representative or relevant experience within an industrial distribution, supply chain management, or sales environment.
- Ability to source products, quote customers, process transactions, and monitor customer fulfillment.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed customer service skills with internal/external customers.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solutions-based mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and maintaining records.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with relevant ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
