About the Role

Join our Compliance team to support ongoing operations, new projects, internal audits, and continuous monitoring. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, act as a liaison with authorities and external auditors, and manage regulatory projects, particularly those related to MiFID 2 and WpHG. Additionally, you will conduct employee training, develop internal documentation, and drive the digitalization and automation of compliance processes using modern tools and AI-based approaches. Your focus will be on securities and capital market compliance, including trade surveillance, product governance, and client fund protection.

Responsibilities

Ongoing monitoring of business operations, new projects, internal audits, and continuous monitoring.
Collaborate with Product, Client Services, Marketing, Operations, and Trading departments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory rules.
Support collaboration with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
Manage the implementation of new legal or regulatory requirements, especially from MiFID 2 and WpHG.
Conduct employee training and support the creation and development of internal documentation.
Drive digitalization and automation of internal compliance processes by evaluating and utilizing modern tools and technological innovations (e.g., AI-based approaches/LLMs).
Focus on securities and capital market compliance, including trade surveillance/MAR monitoring, product governance, and client fund protection.

Requirements

Completed law or economics degree, or a background in business informatics, business mathematics, data science, or a comparable qualification.
Relevant professional experience in Compliance or Audit within a regulatory environment, ideally in a regulated financial company, law firm, or auditing firm.
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented work approach.
Strong communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration.
Experience or interest in working with modern systems and automating recurring tasks.
Experience with process automation or trying out new, software-based tools (e.g., AI-based) is a plus.
Fluent German (minimum C1 level) and fluent English.
