About the Role
The Account Executive, Membership Sales is responsible for generating new business revenue through the sale of Brooklyn Nets Memberships, while also driving revenue through New York Liberty memberships, premium seating, group outings, and select Barclays Center events. This role serves as a consultative sales professional responsible for identifying, cultivating, and converting new fans into long-term customers across Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment's portfolio of ticketing products.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business revenue through the sale of Brooklyn Nets full season memberships, partial plans, premium seating, and other ticket products.
- Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell New York Liberty memberships, Barclays Center events, premium experiences, and other Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment ticket offerings to maximize revenue and deepen customer relationships.
- Prospect daily through outbound calls, emails, networking, referrals, digital lead generation, and other sales initiatives to build and maintain a robust pipeline.
- Conduct consultative sales presentations that identify customer needs and recommend customized ticketing and membership solutions.
- Meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals, activity metrics, and customer engagement objectives.
- Develop and maintain accurate sales pipeline and customer records using the organization's CRM platform.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process to establish long-term relationships and maximize customer retention.
- Host prospective customers at Brooklyn Nets games, New York Liberty games, and other Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment events, creating memorable experiences that support new business growth.
- Collaborate with Membership Services, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Premium Sales, and other departments to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in community events, networking opportunities, fan events, and grassroots initiatives to generate qualified sales leads.
- Stay informed on NBA, WNBA, and live entertainment offerings, pricing strategies, and industry trends to effectively position Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment products.
- Represent Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in every customer interaction.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in ticket sales, sports sales, hospitality, business development, or consultative sales; professional sports experience preferred.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a competitive, metrics-driven environment.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and establish long-term customer relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
