About the Role
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Dental Assistant for a non-profit organization operating federally qualified health centers focused on ensuring access to healthcare for all. The role involves providing comprehensive services including Primary Care, Behavioral Health, specialty care, health education, and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Checks in patients and notifies providers of their presence.
- Maintains the dental laboratory, processes instruments, and monitors lab cases.
- Follows weekly and monthly maintenance procedures for sterilization and radiograph developing equipment.
- Adheres to OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
- Records daily patient appointment data, including no-shows, cancellations, and payment sources.
- Takes and processes radiographs as directed by the dentist or hygienist.
- Enters treatment plans, periodontal charts, informed consent forms, referral forms, and contracts into comprehensive medical records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Dental Assistant Certification required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
- Experience in a family practice setting is a plus.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated competence in 4-handed dentistry.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
- Experience with dental radiograph processing and sterilization procedures.
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong customer service orientation.
