About the Role
You will oversee and manage data protection compliance in daily operations, advising on privacy-by-design for new products. You will handle data protection inquiries, conduct impact assessments, and manage legal processes for data subject requests or incidents while serving as a central point of contact for authorities and customers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage compliance with data protection regulations in daily business operations
- Advise on privacy-by-design for the development and implementation of new products
- Process data protection inquiries and conduct data protection impact assessments (DSFA)
- Manage legal processes for data subject requests or potential data protection incidents
- Collaborate with Legal, Product, IT-Security, Compliance, and Operations teams
- Research new legal data protection requirements and develop standard processes and internal training
- Act as a trusted contact for data protection supervisory authorities and customers
Requirements
- Completed degree in law, business law, business administration, or a related field
- Expert knowledge of European and national data protection law, specifically GDPR and BDSG
- Relevant professional experience in data protection within a law firm or company, ideally in Fintech, banking, or tech
- Native-level German and fluent English proficiency
- Ability to work independently, conscientiously, and goal-oriented
- Interest in learning new technical subject areas
