About the Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in patient intake and coordination within a healthcare setting. You will play a crucial role in connecting individuals with the care they need while upholding strict privacy standards.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct screening phone calls with prospective patients.
- Document patient demographics, medical and mental health history, and reasons for seeking treatment.
- Collaborate with clinicians and office administrators to match patients with appropriate treatment providers.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient discretion at all times.
Requirements
- Junior or Senior enrolled at a 4-year university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Must have US work authorization.
- Must have access to a laptop and a private, uninterrupted space.
