About the Role

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to play a key role in our Communications & Engagement Team. This role supports a busy press office, coordinates strategic communications planning, provides insight and reporting, and delivers engaging digital communications that support organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the press office, including managing enquiries, coordinating responses, monitoring media coverage and supporting reactive and proactive communications activity.
  • Support the development and delivery of proactive communications campaigns and media announcements that advance strategic objectives.
  • Produce communications impact reports, bringing together data and insight from across channels to demonstrate performance, identify trends and inform future activity.
  • Provide ongoing communications data, evaluation and audience insights to support planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to communications evaluation, lessons learned reviews, and continuous improvement activity.
  • Support the team's use of data, insight and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled approaches that improve communications delivery.
  • Own and maintain the team's forward planner, ensuring communications activity is coordinated, resourced, and project managed.
  • Track engagement with key stakeholders to support delivery of communications objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with experience managing schedules, planners and competing priorities.
  • Experience working in communications, media relations, press office or digital communications environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and audience-focused content.
  • Experience gathering and presenting data and insights, and wider communications monitoring support.
  • Strong understanding of different communications channels and how content can be tailored for different audiences.
  • Trained in PRINCE2 project management methodology.
  • Experience evaluating campaigns and communications activity against performance measures.
  • Experience building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of audience insight, audience segmentation or persona development.
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools to inform communications planning.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to use AI to improve communications delivery.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK for National Security Vetting.
