About the Role
The Senior Data & AI Analyst supports the Data & Analytics Team, focusing initially on the UK market, with potential to support other countries. This role is crucial for delivering asset business plan targets and achieving operational excellence by analyzing property management performance data. It will champion AI tools to enhance reporting and analysis efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, working closely with UK Operational and Asset Management teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop consistent, accurate KPIs and reports for stakeholders using AI-assisted tools.
- Support the UK Operational Management Team with financial and data analysis.
- Fulfill the Data & Analytics team’s reporting requirements for internal and external needs.
- Run the leasing reporting process to track and analyze leasing and occupancy performance.
- Support property and regional managers, Operations Directors, Asset Management, Client Services, and other business leaders by addressing questions and resolving performance-related issues.
- Act as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AI, driving adoption of AI tools like Claude.
- Identify practical AI use cases and build simple AI-powered solutions.
- Support non-technical colleagues in using AI confidently, safely, and effectively.
- Collaborate with Digital/Performance, Asset Marketing, and Brand/Insights teams to track KPIs and provide consistent reporting.
- Gather and analyze financial, market, and other data to assess portfolio performance against targets.
- Participate in project teams to implement process improvements and new applications.
- Build effective working relationships between the Data & Analytics team and the IT/Systems team.
- Support requirements gathering, testing, and optimization for systems projects.
- Support annual rent and budget-setting processes, new acquisition due diligence, and other reports.
- Identify improvements to systems and tools used for performance monitoring.
- Contribute to new acquisitions (due diligence and underwriting data) and support their execution.
- Support periodic service-cost reporting and annual price versus allowance analysis.
- Support FF&E and other service-charge-related administration.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service and Workspaces, Power Query, DAX, data modelling, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience of Databricks is a plus.
- Effective use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude in analytics work, including effective prompting for reliable code generation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to prepare and explain data and analytics.
- Proven track record of working within a data/analytics team.
- Experience working with data lakes and data warehouses.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience in testing and data quality practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and share large amounts of information accurately and with attention to detail.
- Adept at problem-solving, taking a broad perspective to identify or help define solutions.
- Significant experience in managing contracts, services and external resource providers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and explain highly technical ideas to a non-technical audience.
- Expertise in optimising data and processes in a multi-language and multi-currency environment.
- A positive team player with an adaptable, flexible approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and show good judgement under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with impact and influence.
