About the Role

Join a small global Corporate Investigations & Insider Risk Management team responsible for protecting the company’s people, operations, customers, systems, and information. This broad, hands-on role covers Insider Risk Management, corporate investigations, fraud, misconduct, whistleblowing, and employee-related risk. The program considers behavior, intent, access misuse, control weaknesses, policy circumvention, fraud indicators, conflicts of interest, negligence, misconduct, and emerging patterns that may expose the organization to harm. The successful candidate will lead complex investigations and IRM reviews, while helping improve preventative controls, awareness activity, investigation standards, detection logic, and program maturity. This role suits someone comfortable operating in a small, evolving team where priorities shift, ambiguity is normal, and initiative is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation and development of the global Insider Risk Management programme.
  • Lead reviews and investigations involving insider risk indicators, including suspicious activity, access misuse, policy circumvention, conflicts of interest, fraud indicators, misconduct, negligence, and control weaknesses.
  • Assess behavioral context, intent, opportunity, access, business justification, and available evidence.
  • Review relevant system activity, audit trails, communications, business records, access data, and other available sources.
  • Work with technical teams to interpret logs, alerts, and user activity, ensuring technical indicators are assessed alongside behavioral and organizational context.
  • Help refine IRM detection scenarios, escalation routes, triage standards, and response processes.
  • Identify recurring themes, weak controls, process gaps, or cultural issues that increase insider risk.
  • Translate IRM findings into practical preventative actions.
  • Lead end-to-end internal investigations involving misconduct, data privacy, policy violations, whistleblowing, fraud, and employee-related risk.
  • Conduct sensitive employee interviews and assess credibility, intent, and consistency of accounts.
  • Analyze evidence from business systems, communications, records, and stakeholder input.
  • Support investigative strategy, escalation decisions, and outcome recommendations.
  • Ensure investigations are appropriately documented, proportionate, and handled with discretion.
  • Contribute to awareness and training initiatives across Insider Risk Management, fraud, misconduct, responsible data handling, and employee conduct.
  • Help develop investigation playbooks, IRM standards, triage models, and case handling processes.
  • Translate investigation outcomes into preventative actions, control improvements, and lessons learned.
  • Support practical guidance for HR, Legal, Privacy, Security, and business stakeholders.
  • Help mature the overall investigations and IRM capability.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Privacy, Security, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Support global investigations and IRM reviews outside your region when required.
  • Provide guidance to junior investigators and help improve case quality, consistency, and documentation.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting corporate, compliance, fraud, employee relations, insider risk, or internal investigations.
  • Strong investigative reasoning and interview skills.
  • Ability to assess behavior, intent, credibility, and context alongside available evidence.
  • Understanding of the foundations of an Insider Risk Management program.
  • Comfort handling sensitive employee issues with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable moving between investigations, IRM activity, prevention, awareness, and process improvement within a small team.
  • Willingness to work with technical teams to understand evidence, refine alerting, and improve detection approaches.
  • Experience operating within or supporting an Insider Risk Management program.
  • Experience working in a global organization.
  • Familiarity reviewing audit trails, access records, user activity, system logs, or communications metadata.
  • Exposure to fraud, whistleblowing, misconduct, or employee risk investigations.
  • Participation in awareness, prevention, or control improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, UEBA, or similar monitoring platforms.
  • Must have current and future work authorization in the country where applying, without the need for visa sponsorship.
