About the Role

Perkins&Will is seeking a talented Intermediate Architectural Technologist with proven experience in corporate interiors and workplace sectors. The role involves managing and developing technical packages through all RIBA project stages, contributing to the technical team's expertise, and ensuring designs comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop detailing and detailed project packages through on-site management.
  • Contribute to the development of the technical team expertise including technical detailing, NBS production, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and manage drawing packages, assisting in the creation of design drawings and documents.
  • Write specifications using NBS.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of all work stages and the level of detail required for each RIBA stage.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with Building Regulations and planning approvals.
  • Coordinate and manage clashes within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Investigate and propose suitability for use and maintenance procedures.
  • Research and specify products, materials, and bespoke furniture, managing integration with IT and electrical requirements.
  • Assist Designers and Architects in reviewing construction work on site.
  • Represent the practice positively.
  • Work harmoniously with the London team and global studios.

Requirements

  • A degree in Architectural Technology (Technical detailing).
  • Minimum 3 years of excellent Revit experience with technical focus abilities.
  • Excellent design and technical detailing skills.
  • Proficiency in family creation and schedule creation in Revit.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to research joinery, furniture systems, products, finishes, and materials.
  • Ability to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations, British Standards, and other relevant statutory legislation.
  • At least 5 years of technical experience in all RIBA project stages in professional practice.
  • Experience in both base build projects and interior fit-outs.
  • Ability to work as part of a technical team and support/manage technical packages through all design stages.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship not offered).
