About the Role

Join the Applications team within Quantexa's R&D department, focused on building real-world applications of the Quantexa Platform. This role enables product demonstrations, develops SaaS offerings, and tests new platform features before client deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Quantexa’s libraries for cleansing, parsing, and standardizing data for entity resolution.
  • Find efficiency and performance improvements through big data testing and building performance tooling.
  • Own best practices in entity resolution and network building.
  • Build standardized and reusable code for processing various third-party/open-source data sets.
  • Manage an internal data lake for data provision by other teams for testing and analytics.
  • Own general best practices for ingesting and processing data for the Quantexa Platform, including pipelines and scheduling.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain all Quantexa demos, showcasing platform use cases.
  • Own the Quantexa Trial platform for prospective clients.
  • Build tools to enable solution owners and sales to create custom demos.
  • Build Quantexa’s emerging SaaS offering, a cloud-hosted, standardized deployment of the Quantexa Platform.
  • Target mid-market banks in the US for Retail AML, expanding to more use cases and geographies.
  • Implement cutting-edge features of the Quantexa Platform for SaaS customers.
  • Rotate between sub-teams to enable knowledge sharing and personal development.

Requirements

  • Enjoy data processing/ETL pipelines.
  • Enjoy analyzing and examining real and varied data.
  • Enjoy full stack development with a heavy focus on data processing/ETL.
  • Enjoy solving difficult problems with efficient, resilient, high-impact code.
  • Enjoy working in the cloud with production-grade systems.
  • Enjoy defining best-practices and sharing expertise.

  • A strong coding background, ideally in Scala or a relevant language (e.g., Java/Python).
  • Experience with big data, either from a software deployment/implementation or data science perspective.
  • Experience working with big data technology, ideally Spark, but others like Airflow or Elasticsearch are also useful.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience building data processing pipelines for production batch systems, including traditional ETL and/or analytics pipelines.
  • Experience manipulating data through cleansing, parsing, standardizing, especially for improving data quality/integrity.
  • Experience building and deploying SaaS products.
