About the Role

This client-facing role is responsible for managing production Charles River IMS systems for multiple clients as part of the Charles River Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings, including application management for hosted and non-hosted clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert remote management, administration, and support for client production Charles River IMS solutions.
  • Assist clients with optimal system use.
  • Manage user administration and privileges.
  • Implement parameter configuration changes.
  • Ensure system availability.
  • Perform application and database performance tuning.
  • Monitor and support daily operational processing.
  • Apply Charles River IMS and database software patches.
  • Execute Charles River IMS version upgrades.
  • Provide assistance with problem support and resolution.
  • Offer Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery assistance.
  • Collaborate with Charles River colleagues to transition new clients to production.
  • Partner with vendors to deliver a seamless service to clients.
  • Participate in the development, refinement, enhancement, and continuous improvement of services.
  • Participate in the investigation, implementation, and operation of third-party tools to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide periodic out-of-hours support and/or weekend work.
  • Perform occasional travel to customer sites for planning and review meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
