About the Role
Join the data team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI reporting and data models. You will collaborate with digital, marketing, and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into robust BI solutions, driving data-informed decision-making to support fundraising innovation and the mission to beat cancer.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business intelligence requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI datasets and reports.
- Build and optimize robust data models including star schemas.
- Write and optimize SQL queries in Snowflake for data extraction and transformation.
- Develop and maintain DAX measures and calculations.
- Lead BI and reporting projects to deliver high-quality KPI analysis.
- Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
- Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies to ensure accuracy and trust.
- Ensure work adheres to established governance standards and documentation requirements.
- Identify opportunities for reporting and data quality improvements.
- Build strong working relationships and support colleagues in data tool usage.
Requirements
- Significant experience with Power BI, including advanced data modeling, star schemas, data flows, and DAX.
- Experience manipulating broad data sets and writing complex SQL queries.
- Significant experience in reporting and data analysis techniques within an organization or agency.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Proven project management and planning skills with the ability to lead projects.
- Ability to act as a trusted partner to stakeholders and translate business needs into BI solutions.
- Strong analytical, structured thinking, and logical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
