About the Role

The Wedding-Grundschule is seeking a dedicated educator for small classes within a regular school setting. This role focuses on providing individualized support and fostering a reliable learning and living environment for children and adolescents with diverse needs who require specialized educational attention.

Responsibilities

• Accompany children during lessons and throughout the school day.
• Develop and implement individualized support programs for children with varying needs.
• Actively contribute to creating a stable, support-oriented school learning and living environment.
• Provide professional crisis intervention and situational management in challenging everyday scenarios.
• Collaborate and engage in professional exchange within multidisciplinary teams.
• Potential to work in regular classroom settings.

Requirements

• State-recognized qualification as an educator, specialized educator for participation and inclusion, or a qualified special needs educator.
• Knowledge of de-escalation and conflict resolution strategies.
• Interest in and ideally experience working with children and adolescents in a support context.
• Creativity and resourcefulness in developing and implementing pedagogical group activities.
• Willingness to collaborate closely with parents, colleagues, and other involved professionals.
• Empathy and a supportive pedagogical approach.

About the Company

• The Wedding-Grundschule offers a special support area within a regular school, catering to small learning groups of approximately 5-6 students each. These children and adolescents have diverse support needs and have not yet secured a place in a traditional special education center. They are individually supported and educated within a protected school environment as part of compulsory schooling.
