About the Role
As Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will ensure the integrity of Hyve's external financial reporting and serve as the technical accounting lead for the Group. You will collaborate with finance teams to deliver accurate reporting, enhance financial processes, and support strategic decisions. This role offers an opportunity to broaden leadership experience and develop into a wider Group Finance role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of the Group's statutory financial statements and support the delivery of high-quality external financial reporting.
- Act as the technical accounting expert for the Group, providing guidance on IFRS, new accounting standards, and complex transactions.
- Manage the annual external audit, acting as the primary contact for auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Financial Reporting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Collaborate with finance teams across the Group to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of financial reporting processes.
- Review legal entity reporting, intercompany accounting, and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with Group policies and accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced use of finance systems.
- Act as deputy to the Group Financial Controller, supporting the wider Group Finance function and helping shape the future of financial reporting at Hyve.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA preferred, ACCA or equivalent considered) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Minimum three years post-qualification experience.
- Experience in financial reporting, statutory reporting, or external audit within a complex or multi-entity organization.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK GAAP).
- A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and building strong relationships across the business.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
