About the Role

The Group Fitness Coordinator leads and develops the group exercise programme, delivering high-quality, engaging classes that support member wellbeing and retention. This role oversees the commercial effectiveness of the timetable, manages instructor performance, and ensures alignment with corporate wellbeing objectives while teaching 8-10 classes per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver key KPIs including class utilisation, instructor cost control, and revenue performance
  • Lead daily operational delivery of the group exercise programme
  • Optimise the group exercise timetable to balance commercial performance, member demand, and variety
  • Maintain high standards for studio cleanliness, presentation, equipment readiness, and safety
  • Oversee instructor performance through audits, feedback, payroll accuracy, and safety compliance
  • Produce and analyse reports on utilisation, attendance, and programme performance
  • Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis to improve participation and retention
  • Collaborate with fitness and member experience teams to enhance engagement and wellbeing initiatives

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience within fitness, wellbeing, or service environments
  • Strong customer-focused mindset
  • Strong experience teaching a range of group exercise classes
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and performance outcomes
  • Strong organisational and planning capability
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and innovation
  • Must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available
