About the Role

This is a high-impact, hands-on procurement role supporting various categories and departments within a fast-moving media business. You will aid in commercial decision-making, identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate terms, manage contracts and suppliers, and reduce commercial risks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business in acquiring the best value goods and services by leading sourcing projects, negotiating contracts, and building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Legal, Information Security, Technology, and Finance teams.
  • Assist with supplier communication, commercial negotiations, internal stakeholder management, and spend analysis.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services with effective contract management.
  • Support key stakeholders across the business with the delivery of their department’s strategies.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Lead on supplier negotiations to achieve the best value for the business.
  • Support sourcing activities including market research, RFx documentation creation and issuance, tender execution, and collation of supplier responses.
  • Create and maintain visibility of the Procurement team's projects and contract prioritization.
  • Perform and support supplier due diligence processes, highlighting risks to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues to maintain positive supplier performance.
  • Provide data and insights on procurement activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance reports.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as ensuring contracts and documentation are saved in relevant locations.
  • Suggest and support the implementation of new processes across the business and within the Procurement team.
  • Monitor contract expiry reports to prevent service lapses by negotiating renewals.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, guidelines, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Clear understanding and experience of the end-to-end procurement cycle.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Well organised, adaptive, and possess good time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; PowerBI, contract lifecycle tools, and Coupa).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
