About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own and replace outdated wholesale procurement processes. You will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for a specific product surface, from conception to measuring its impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, specifications, and outcomes for your product area, and be accountable for metric movement.
- Base decisions on economic and physical realities, not just industry conventions.
- Prioritize deleting existing workflows over adding new ones.
- Question the necessity of processes before automating them to avoid replicating waste.
- Conduct your own analysis to validate ideas.
- Present data, sample sizes, and potential flaws in your reasoning; be willing to change your mind based on data.
- Gain firsthand understanding by observing operations, listening to calls, and reviewing failed orders.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, and commercial teams in person.
- Ship weekly and make reversible decisions rapidly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in marketplaces, eCommerce, logistics, or fintech.
- Proven track record of shipping products that demonstrably improved key metrics.
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in SQL for estimating outcomes.
- Sufficient understanding of systems and data models to engage effectively with engineers.
- Ability to commit to team decisions even when they differ from your initial stance.
- Proactively take ownership of unresolved issues.
- Demonstrate sound judgment regarding the use of autonomous agents in commercial work.
